Import PDF bank statements into Xero
Xero can import a bank statement CSV when the bank feed is unavailable. Sheetlark produces the column layout Xero’s statement import uses, with dates, amounts, payees and references filled in from your PDF.
Step by step
- Drop the PDF statements into the converter.
- Check the Verified badge.
- Choose “Xero (CSV)” and download.
- In Xero, open the bank account, choose Import a Statement and upload the file.
Clean payees make reconciling faster
Bank descriptions are full of card numbers, terminal IDs and dates. Sheetlark extracts a clean payee name (“Starbucks” instead of “POS PURCHASE 1234 STARBUCKS #0521 SEATTLE WA”), so Xero’s bank rules match more often.
Questions
Does the date format matter?
Xero reads the date format of your organisation’s region. Pick day/month or month/day in the export options to match.
